But meanwhile, I'd put the spool for the strimmer cord in a safe place and….you know where this is going don't you?
That's right. Now I can't find the bloody thing.
Stop laughing at the back or you can come and look for the wretched thing down the back of the sofa without a safety line! :)
I can remember putting in on a shelf, where I was confident it wouldn't get knocked on the floor. An open shelf rather than a cupboard. And that's as far as I get. So far I've tidied up the shelves at the back end of the kitchen to no avail.
I know it's in the house. I'm pretty certain it's downstairs. But so far it is eluding me and probably pulling faces at me when I'm not looking. Bother.
Just to add to the fun, I was standing on the kitchen step stool to open the front window on Tuesday evening and the pestilential object collapsed under me. I fell on to the edge of the kitchen worktop and now have a delightful array of purple bruises across my tum. Ah well, at least I'm well padded!
The man is supposedly coming to fit our new back door tomorrow. Perhaps he'll find the strimmer spool!
